Replacing Nike, Canterbury has become the official kit supplier to the English Rugby Football Union for four years, starting next September and going beyond the 2015 Rugby World Cup to include other matches by the England senior team, the Saxons B team, the Sevens and the Women's teams. Canterbury, which is now a property of JD Sports Fashion, is said to paying £20 million (€24m-$32m) under the contract, making the partnership the largest in the RFU's history. While Adidas now has its former deal with the All Blacks from New Zealand, Canterbury is still the supplier of the clothing for the Scottish and South African rugby teams. Separately, it has been announced that James Gilbert South Africa will continue as the official ball and equipment supplier for the Springboks through the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
