French brand K-Way, part of BasicNet, an Italian company that also owns the Kappa, Briko and Superga brands, amongst others, has partnered with Bluebell Group to launch in Hong Kong. Following the brand’s digital launch in June via k-way.com.hk, the first physical brand store is scheduled to open in October 2022 at Swire Group’s Pacific Place, one of Hong Kong’s most upscale shopping centers. The brand’s presence in Hong Kong and mainland China is expected to grow further this year. Hong Kong-based Bluebell Group, an omnichannel operator and brand partner, is a joint venture partner of Owndays Japan, a brand in L Catterton Asia’s portfolio, and has a presence in Japan, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Australia. The company operates more than 150 brands across the region through its distribution network of flagship stores, shop-in-shops, proprietary multi-brand concepts, and a selective wholesale network, along with direct e-commerce and marketplaces covering both domestic and travel retail.
