On Sept. 24, Absolute RunSport 2000’s concept-store banner for running, will be opening its 13th store – this time in Leuven, Belgium.

In line with the Absolute Run concept, the store will be looking to impress the customer. Particularly noteworthy are the 18-meter running track for realistic running analysis and the state-of-the-art 3D foot scan for precise fitting. Weekly running meetings and monthly running events will provide a platform for the community and promote exchange between runners.

RecentlySport 2000 opened an Absolute Run store in Aschaffenburg, Germany. There are now nine Absolute Run stores in Germany and four in Belgium: Liège, Brussels, Hoofddorp and Leuven. Another store is scheduled to open in Düsseldorf in December, followed by stores in Bruges and Ingolstadt at the beginning of 2025.

“The opening in Leuven is another important step in establishing the Absolute Run concept internationally and presenting a unified face to customers that stands for quality and genuine expertise in running,” said Jörg Seifert, Division Head of Running, responsible for the concept’s international expansion.

The parent company is also pleased with the expansion. “As an authentic sports city with many students, Leuven is another very attractive location for us,” commented Christoph Görner, Retail and Format Manager Running at Sport 2000. “Not least because the European Half Marathon and Marathon Championships will also be held here in 2025.”
