The French cooperative is also launching a major strategic plan involving new store openings.

Groupe Sport 2000, a cooperative of sporting goods retailers in France, is rebranding itself Céraclès Coopérative. The new name comes with the new tagline ”Entrepreneurs Commerçants” (Entrepreneurial shopkeepers), which is similarly meant to better portray its business model.

The cooperative has also announced a new strategic plan, dubbed “Sprint 2030,” with a mission to reach 1,000 stores and generate sales of €1.3 billion by 2030, up from €831 million in sales in 2024. It currently has 700 stores. The 300 new openings will involve its different store names (Mondovélo, Espace Montagne, WAS We Are Select, S2 Sneakers Specialist, Ekosport Rent).

The growth plan rests on multiple pillars, from an upgrade of its brick-and-mortar stores, with enhanced customer experience, to a strengthened customer loyalty program, increased digitalization and a streamlined product offering. The cooperative is reportedly investing €30 million in this modernization plan.
