British multinational sports apparel retailer Gymshark, founded by Ben Francis and Lewis Morgan in 2012, has opened its second flagship store – the brand’s second permanent store – at the Westfield Shopping Center in Stratford City, East London. Its first store is located on the iconic Carnaby Street in the center of the British capital.

The 650 sqm store offers sportswear, sports bra fitting assistance and a running club.

Gymshark has been growing fast, reporting sales of £556 million (€662 million) in 2023, a 15 percent increase on the previous year. The brand is reportedly actively looking for potential sites in the UK, US and Europe but is prioritizing finding the suitable locations before signing any leases, according to a report from Retail Gazette.

Gymshark’s retail expansion strategy includes opening stores in the US, which remains the brand’s largest market. “It’s the biggest fitness market in the world, and our goal is to become a globally iconic British brand. We want to be known not just online, but across all facets of the market, and that requires a strategic presence in key locations,” CEO Francis told Retail Gazette.
