Intersport Voswinkel invested over €4 million in its first full year after being acquired by the Cisalfa Group, modernizing and opening 15 new stores, creating 60 new jobs.

Intersport Voswinkel can look back on a successful 2024, the company reports. After the takeover by the Italian Cisalfa Group in 2023, the company, which consists of over 50 stores, invested over €4 million, enabling the modernization and reopening of 15 stores, which also created around 60 new jobs. Managing Director Marcus Neul also has ambitious plans for 2025 – including further new locations, additional jobs, and exciting customer events.

“We are proud of what we have achieved in 2024 and look forward to continuing our growth course in 2025,” Neul said.

In 2024, Intersport Voswinkel expanded its market presence. A total of 13 stores were modernized and equipped with a new shopfitting concept. Customers in Kassel, Porta Westfalica, Siegen, Sankt Augustin, Tönisvorst, Dortmund (Thier Galerie), Leipzig (Höfe am Brühl), Karlsruhe, Ingolstadt, Weiterstadt, Bremen, Essen and Heidenheim can now experience an attractive and modern Intersport shopping experience. New stores were also opened in central Berlin-Mitte and Erlangen. Sports stores in Essen and Heidenheim were taken over and redesigned. After its anniversary year, Intersport Voswinkel has a strong presence in Germany. The company has invested over four million euros, increasing its industry importance and creating jobs. Despite fierce competition, Intersport Voswinkel has added 60 employees, reaching over 800 across Germany – an increase of more than 8 percent.

Growth plans for 2025: further expansion and exclusive customer events

The “Winterberg Ski Event” on January 18 marked the start of another successful year for Intersport Voswinkel. More than 400 Intersport Club customers were able to experience the fascination of night skiing and test the latest ski models on beautifully lit slopes.

“As part of the Cisalfa Group, we continue to pursue our growth plan. This includes new openings, further investments and also the creation of additional jobs for people who share our love of sports. For example, the next new Intersport Voswinkel store in Kempten is already planned for spring 2025,” says Marcus Neul, who has been managing director of Intersport Voswinkel since 2019.

It was also Marcus Neul who led the company back onto a strong growth path within the Intersport network before the Cisalfa Group acquired Sport Voswinkel in 2023. As part of the Cisalfa Group, he continues to pursue the growth vision of Voswinkel as one of the leading omnichannel companies.

“With attractive sports experience worlds, enthusiastic teams of experts, customer-specific product ranges, top services and unconditional customer focus, we will continue to successfully pursue our path,” emphasizes Neul.
