JD Sports is opening four new stores and refurbishing one in Spain this month. The refurbishment is in Girona and reopened on Aug. 3. Two of the new stores, both in Tenerife (at the Rosa Center and at La Villa), have been open since Aug. 17. Still to come, on Aug. 31, are the stores in Ciudad Real and Las Palmas.
This follows several other openings this year. July saw new stores Huelva, Alicante, Finestrat and Oviedo; June saw them in Fuenlabrada (Madrid), Irún and Soria; May saw one in Los Llanos (Tenerife); April saw new stores in Costa Adeje and Barcelona and a refurbished store in Marbella; and February saw an opening in Murcia.
JD Spain has made no announcements yet for the rest of the current year, but you can follow along on its blog, which has open slots for the remaining months.
