For the first time in the region’s history of the ANZ, two new JD Sports stores opened on the same day: JD Green Hills in New South Wales, Australia and JD Albany in New Zealand.
These openings mark store numbers 71 and 72 across the ANZ region (65 in Australia and 7 in New Zealand), an important milestone in JD’s continued global growth, the company said.
Today, JD Sports runs around 3,400 stores globally, which makes it the third largest sports retail chain in the world, according to the newly released SGIE’s analysis.
