Swiss performance sportswear brand On revealed plans for its latest store opening in Portland, Ore., marking a significant step in its ongoing global retail expansion. Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, the store will debut on NW 23rd Avenue, situated just a mile from the brand’s Americas headquarters.

Britt Olsen, GM of the Americas and Head of Global Commercial Strategy, emphasized the brand’s deep roots in Portland and its commitment to the local community. “Portland not only offers an incredible art and food culture, but its accessibility to the outdoors – for all forms of movement – is unbeatable. We’re thrilled to finally have a store in this city that reflects the dedicated community we’ve built here for the last 11 years.”

Spanning 316 square meters, On Portland will feature the brand’s latest footwear, apparel, and accessories tailored for run, trail, and everyday movement. Central to the store is the Magic Wall, a unique feature allowing immediate try-on experiences. With hidden drawers containing a full size-run of footwear, shoppers can interact with expert store advisors seamlessly.

The new store adopts On’s innovative modular design system, enabling quick layout adjustments to meet evolving shopper preferences. Interactive installations, including one showcasing On’s CloudTec technology, enhance the retail experience, offering insights into the brand’s cutting-edge innovations.

This expansion aligns with On’s broader retail strategy unveiled in October 2023, aiming to establish a premium global sportswear presence. With plans for 15 to 20 new stores in cities like Berlin, Austin, and Chicago, On continues its trajectory as one of the fastest-growing sportswear brands worldwide.
