Salomon has opened its first US Sportstyle concept store in New York City. The store’s location has been chosen carefully—it’s located at 169 Spring Street, in Soho, which is known for its variety of shops and has also been the location of many artists’ lofts and art galleries since the 1970s.
“New York has been a global cultural hub for decades, and its community has long known and adopted Salomon,” said Steven Doolan, Salomon’s President of the Americas, during the opening, celebrated with a party with live music.
The Salmon store is a temporary visitor and marks the start of Salomon’s North American expansion, the brand has communicated. It will remain open until January 2025 and serves as a test for the planned permanent store in New York City, which will open ”next year,” as the company said. Further expansions of the brand in North America will follow.
