Brussels welcomes Skechers to its Rue Neuve shopping district with the unveiling of a spacious 490-square-meter store. The store offers a showcase of Skechers’ range of footwear, apparel and accessories, featuring a striking vaulted entrance and a captivating mural paying homage to the brand’s roots in Southern California’s Manhattan Beach. This newest addition joins Skechers’ existing store on Antwerp’s Meir, with plans underway for a concept store opening in Bruges by mid-May 2024. The expansion reflects Skechers’ commitment to bolstering its presence throughout Belgium.
A forthcoming Skechers store in Kortrijk will further enhance the brand’s footprint, bringing the total count of Skechers retail outlets in the country to seven. David Weinberg, Chief Operating Officer of Skechers, emphasized Belgium’s significance in the brand’s global operations, saying: “Belgium has played a key role in Skechers’ business.” He highlighted Wallonia as the location of their European distribution hub, serving consumers across Europe and beyond. Skechers manages its international endeavors through a multifaceted network comprising joint venture partners, distributors, and wholly-owned subsidiaries, including Skechers USA Benelux BV in Belgium.
