The 15th Absolute Run store opened in Bruges, Belgium. SPORT 2000 continues the internationalization of the specialist format. In 2025, several more stores will open up.
Running is still a booming segment in the industry. Sport 2000 has opened up its 15th Absolute Run store, this time in the historic city of Bruges, Belgium.
The 200-square-meter running store in Bruges offers – in line with the other 14 stores – an innovative shopping experience characterized by state-of-the-art technology and a strong community, the company said. The store features the FootBalance and Motion Metrics system, which enable an individual running analysis for the perfect shoe choice. With a first-class selection of shoes, clothing and accessories, the store meets the needs of all runners – from beginners to elite athletes.
Davy Vandekerckhove is the owner of Absolute Run Bruges. With SPORT 2000, he has completely rebuilt his existing business and reopened it under the ABSOLUTE roof. Vandekerckhove is an ambitious runner himself, who lives his sport with passion and has turned it into a career: “My vision is to create a store where people not only buy shoes, but also find motivation, community and a place to grow as athletes. That’s what drives me every day.” This vision is implemented, among other things, through weekly community runs and exclusive events.

The opening of a further five stores is planned for this year. These are to be located in the neighboring German-speaking countries of the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland. In total, the number of Absolute Run stores is expected to increase to 20 in Central Europe this year.
