Rio Ferdinand, a retired English football player, has teamed up with Sports Direct to launch Five, a range of hoodies, tee-shirts, sweat pants and snapbacks with prices starting from £8 (€9-$11). The range is named after the number worn by Ferdinand, who played as center back in the England team and spent most of his career at Manchester United. The exclusive launch at Sports Direct is accompanied with a brand clip broadcast in stores and online. Ferdinand retired from football two years ago and has pursued a career in media. The former player, who grew up in a large family in Peckham, south London, also launched the Rio Ferdinand Live The Dream Foundation, to support underprivileged children hoping to make a career in sport, arts and media.
