Rip Curl has extended by another five years its sponsorship of Gabriel Medina, the two-time surfing world champion. Their arrangement has lasted 12 years so far. This year’s World Surfing Tour has been cancelled over Covid-19, but the Billabong Pipe Masters competition remains scheduled for Dec. 8. Medina will also be surfing for Brazil at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
