Robert Marcovitch is taking the place of Tim Petrick as chief executive of K2. Marcovitch had already run the American ski company between 2006 and 2011, before moving to the position of CEO at The Coleman Company, which is also owned by Jarden Corporation. He had previously run K2's ski, snowboard, skate and bike division for three years. Petrick has been named chief operating office for the Silverton Mountain Ski Area in Colorado, which offers guided and unguided adventure skiing tours and helicopter skiing. He will also work for Silverton Mountain Guides Alaska Heli, which offers guided helicopter skiing from three sites in Alaska. Petrick has been in and out of K2 three times since 1989. He acted as general manager of its ski division, as vice president of global sales and, since 2014, as CEO. Between 2009 and 2012, while Jarden owned a share in Rossignol, he worked for the French company as global vice president of sales and marketing, and then as North American sales chief.
