Rossignol has created the new position of commercial manager for textile and has appointed Olivier Richard to the job. He will report to Jean Holvoet, general manager of the textile department, a sector that was reintegrated into the group in April 2012. Richard, aged 41, was a leading actor in the booming European snowboarding industry in the mid-1990s. He worked for A.Snowboards, Westbeach and Northwave as key account manager and marketing manager. He then moved to Teton Gravity Research (TGR), where he led European operations. From 2006 to 2011, he worked at Peak Performance, where he was in charge of European marketing and sales and also led the brand's project around the America's Cup, in 2009. He later contributed as a consultant to sport and fashion brands on sales and marketing strategies and brand development. Rossignol intends to develop its textile business both in France and internationally and in his new role, Richard is expected to define the related commercial strategies and expand the commercial network, while suggesting new trade marketing actions and animating the relationship with the final consumer.
