Rossignol has pledged to stop using animal fur in its outerwear and accessories. The Rossignol group owns 12 brands – including Rossignol, Dynastar and Lange – and sells them in more than 50 countries. According to Peta (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), a charity dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals, over 100 million animals are killed for their fur every year. In fur farms, animals often get killed by electrocution, neck-breaking, or drowning, Peta explains. The list of designers and fashion companies that have banned the use animal fur in their collections continues to grow.
