Runtastic, the Austrian digital health company snapped up by the Adidas Group earlier this year, has come up with a new app offering customized, twelve-week workout plans intended to build strength and reduce body fat. The Results app features workouts using more than 120 instructional exercise videos and weekly nutrition tips. The training programs are individually adjusted over the three-month period, based on the user's response. Apart from being fully customized, a major point of these 15 to 45-minute workouts is that they don't require any equipment, making them particularly flexible. Runtastic says that bodyweight training, which utilizes a person's own body weight to provide resistance for exercise movements, is a major fitness trend this year. The app is available in twelve languages.
