Salomon and Intersport International have signed an agreement to extend until 2010 a cooperation that they had started in 2004. Intersport will continue to use the Salomon Nordic System binding system (SNS) for cross-country skis and boots sold under the buying group’s own label, Tecno Pro. The deal is important for the balance of power in the battle between SNS and its Norwegian rival, NNN. Among the globally operating ski brands, Salomon and Atomic use the SNS system, along with Intersport and Sport 2000 (V3 Tech). The NNN system of Rottefella is preferred by Rossignol, Madshus and some smaller Scandinavian brands. From the beginning of 2007, the world market leader in cross-country skis, Fischer, switched from Salomon to Rottefella bindings.
