Saucony, part of Wolverine Worldwide, has signed up Tim Broe as program director of the newly-created Saucony Elite Athlete Development Team. Broe, a retired American long-distance runner, is a ten-time USA National Champion and the recipient of the 2015 Boston Globe Cross Country Coach of the Year. Saucony's partnership with Broe will allow the brand to identify post-collegiate athletes who want to develop further their talent. The brand will support the new Saucony Elite Athlete Development Team, which is made up of 10-15 athletes located throughout the U.S., with living expenses and travel per diem to races, bonus payments for their race performance, as well as apparel and footwear. In addition, the athletes will have access to Saucony's Human Performance and Innovation Lab, a state-of-the-art facility that is used to test products and help athletes perform at their highest level.
