Schöffel is restructuring its top management as it divides its business into two segments – Schöffel Sport for its operations in the outdoor, ski and bike sectors; and Schöffel Professional for the development of clothing for corporate and institutional clients. Stefan Merkt, who has been charge of sales for the German sports apparel company since November 2019, will head up the Schöffel Sport business unit, starting on Oct. 1. He will also become a member of the family-owned company’s executive board alongside its 60-year-old CEO, Peter Schöffel, who has been running it since 1995, and Felix Geiger, who has served as chief financial officer since 2015. Geiger will be expanding his duties by taking care of the professional business unit.
