Scotland’s first minister, Alex Salmond, has praised the Ningxia Zhongyin Cashmere Company, a Chinese enterprise, for buying the traditional cashmere spinning firm Todd & Duncan in June, saying the purchase represents a vote of confidence in the country’s economy.
