Scubapro is recalling some 670 Scubapro X650 Second Stage Regulators made in Italy and distributed in the USA since June 2005 because of a manufacturing error that may lead the main housing to change over time, causing the cover and diaphragm to become dislodged. While they pose a drowning hazard, no incidents have been reported, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). All the consumers with an affected regulator will receive a free replacement from the company. In other recent action by the CPSC, Vision Fitness is recalling approximately 480 treadmills due to a programming defect with the console that can unexpectedly increase the speed or incline of the device when the user is on the machine for more than 30 minutes. Approximately 154,000 Fitness Quest Gazelle freestyle cross-trainers and Pro Gliders are also being recalled due to faulty resistance pistons. Also some 700 Endurance branded treadmills distributed by Body Solid and manufactured by Joong Chen Industries of Taiwan are being recalled in the USA as they may suddenly accelerate or decelerate.
