Seven, a large Italian supplier of daypacks, has signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Invicta from Diadora. The financial terms of the deal, which was partly handled by Bain & Co., were not revealed. Diadora, which has struck a licensing agreement with Seven in the apparel sector, says the disposal will have no effect on employment levels. Meanwhile, Diadora is reported to be working on a new lifestyle-oriented concept, called d.lux, with the cooperation of an Italian designer, Max Verre. It will consist of five luxury sneakers in kangaroo leather and other precious materials and of a line of clothing that will be presented at Pitti Uomo in Florence next June.
