Several management changes have been taking place recently at Umbro, which was taken over by Nike a few weeks ago. Two international sales executives, Brendan Dillistone and Dave Hutson, who were taking care of most of the European, Middle East and African market, have left the company. While the search is on for their successors, their responsibilities for sales and marketing have been taken over by Sarah Lynch in combination with Paulo Araujo. Lynch, former European director at Clarks, started at Umbro last December as senior vice president, international. Araujo joined Umbro two years ago with a focus on the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and Africa. Hutson has joined the Americana Group, the company in Manchester that owns the Bench and Hooch apparel brands and is run by Peter McGuigan, former chief executive of Umbro. Ciaran Dunne, international financial controller at Umbro, will also leave at the end of this month to pursue opportunities in the cycling industry. He will be replaced by Julia Williams, formerly with the British Instore retail group.
