Shock Doctor Sports, the American supplier of protection products for sports, has hired a footwear and outdoor industry veteran, Bill Kendall, for the newly created position of vice president of sales for insoles, specialty and outdoor. Kendall officially started working on Feb. 3. He is responsible for the development of the domestic Shock Doctor Sports insole business across all distribution channels. In addition, he will be responsible for developing the outdoor, action, running and sport specialty channels in the U.S. for all other product categories covered by Shock Doctor Sports. Kendall is also charged with developing and executing the sales structure to access these new channels. Kendall has over 25 years of experience in the sporting goods industry, having worked for ski and outdoor brands like Polarmax, Salomon, Teva, Rollerblade, Atomic and Superfeet, as well as specialty running brands such as Timex, Zoot and PowerBar.
