After striking an agreement with another distributor for Hong Kong and Macau, Slinger Bag has clinched a deal with Powerway Sports to be its exclusive distributor in Mainland China for the next five years. Founded in 1999, Powersports has offices in Shanghai and Xiamen. It has an extensive experience in the Chinese tennis market, where it was the No. 1 supplier of tennis balls last year, by working with brands such as Dunlop, Wilson and Slazenger. It is also the exclusive Chinese distributor for Asics footwear and Bridgestone Golf products. The popularity of tennis in China has been fueled in recent years by the victories of Chinese tennis stars such as Li Na and Peng Shuai. With this latest distribution contract for its tennis ball launcher, Slinger Bag is now represented in over 60 markets in six continents, generating expected cumulative retail revenues of close to $250 million over the next five years.
