Slinger Bag has announced a partnership with the Mouratoglou Academy, a tennis academy headquartered in the French Riviera with additional centers in Dubai and Greece. Founded in 1996 by Patrick Mouratoglou, the academy has been the training home for some of the biggest and most promising talents in the sport, including Serena Williams, Marcos Baghdatis, Grigor Dimitrov, and most recently, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Coco Gauff, among others. Slinger’s tennis ball launcher will become “an integral part of the coaching culture within the academy,” the company said. Slinger is working with Mouratoglou to create quarterly workshops across the three different academy locations, empowering their coaches to use the Slinger Bag. Slinger will also be capturing instructional content from top Mouratoglou coaches, which will be made available on the Slinger platform to students across the Mouratoglou locations. The new partnership between Slinger Bag and the Mouratoglou Academy will also involve Mouratoglou’s disruptive tennis league, the UTS (Ultimate Tennis Showdown). Mouratoglou first joined Slinger as a brand ambassador in May of 2021, and the new partnership represents “the next step in both his involvement with the company as well as Slinger’s footprint throughout the Mouratoglou ecosystem,” the company said.
