Speakers from Décathlon, Tecnica Group and other companies have agreed to take part in the first European Conference on Sport and Innovation, to be held on March 12-14 at the University of Technology of Eindhoven, in the Netherlands. A speech will illustrate the economic impact of sport, which has turned out to be greater than that of agriculture in the European Union. The delegates will discuss among other things European networking opportunities in the framework of a program supported by the European Commission in the area of sport. Called Innosport.EU, it is currently run by a consortium of 12 European members and coordinated by Alberto Bichi, secretary general of the European sporting goods industry federation (FESI). The moderator chosen for the conference is Eugenio Di Maria, editor and publisher of the European edition of Sporting Goods Intelligence (for information and registration, click on www.innosport.eu).
