Speedmax, Fischer's newest cross-country ski, has won one of this year's prestigeous Red Dot design awards. A jury of 37 experts granted the prize to the Austrian ski company for the modern design which was put into the new Nordic skating ski. It is one of the few products that managed to walk away with one of the titles after having competed with no less than 4,661 other products from many different categories. The Speedmax was one of the most successful skis used during the recent Nordic World Championships in Val di Fiemme and Nove Mesto. Besides its design, Speedmax is described as a step forward in modern ski construction thanks to its cold base bonding technology.
