Speedo USA, now a division of PVH Corp., has announced that Cullen Jones has signed an agreement with the company through 2017. The American swimming star, who was formerly sponsored by Nike, won silver in the 50m Freestyle, gold in the 4x100m Medley Relay, and silver in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Jones joins an advisory group of athletes that works with Speedo Aqualab, the brand's R&D center, on the development of suits and swim products. In addition, the company plans to feature Jones as the face of a new “Learn to Swim” program and product line, promoting swim safety. After nearly drowning at five, Jones has worked throughout his career to help reduce the drowning rate among young people in the U.S., sharing his own experience as part of the “Make A Splash” initiative of the USA Swimming Foundation.
