Sport 2000 France outperformed the sporting goods market in 2007. While the market grew by 2 percent, the revenues of the company's affiliated retailers went up by 5.5 percent to €580 million. In flat areas of the country, revenues were €463 million, up by 5 percent. Thirty new stores were opened in 2007 and four were expanded.

In mountainous regions, Sport 2000 France did even better, with 10 percent growth to €88 million. The company added 19 stores there. On a comparable store basis, sales climbed by 17 percent. At the beginning of the Winter selling season, Sport 2000 France introduced a new banner, Skiway, for stores located in the ski resorts. Fifty-four shops are selling under this banner now.

Other banners within the French Sport 2000 network – S2, Mondovelo and Pro Montagne, which has recently changed its name to Espace Montagne – had turnover of €29 million for the year. In March, Sport 2000 France bought Espace Montagne from its founder, Christian Miège. The 18-month-old Mondovelo format was considered a success with 12 stores and five corners in Sport 2000 stores.

In 2008, Sport 2000 France plans to add stores: 25 for Sport 2000, 19 for S2 and 10 for Mondovelo. Skiway should have 30 new shops.
