Sport 2000 Switzerland will have a new managing director by next Jan. 1. The 42-year-old Roland Felder has 25 years of experience in the retail business. He has most recently served for Manor Group, the Swiss retail conglomerate, where he held various positions including that of buyer for sporting goods and bikes sold in its department stores. Manor is the parent of Athleticum, a sports chain that used to be Sport 2000’s buying partner before the German buying group set up its own organization in Switzerland. Felder replaces Harald Ostermeir who served in the top management with Sport 2000 Germany and as managing director of both Sport 2000 Switzerland and of Bico, a German buying group for bike shops that works with Sport 2000. Ostermeir has left the group to become a business consultant.
