Sport Förg, a German retailer affiliated with Intersport operating from the Bavarian city of Augsburg, is pulling out of a dual-brand store that was selling the products of Lowa and Schöffel under the same roof in Düsseldorf, 550 kilometers away from its head office. The two outdoor companies have taken over the operation jointly. They already own their first two-brand store, opened in 2005 in Frankfurt. They also own together a brand-new one in downtown Berlin, at Alexanderplatz. The only dual-brand Lowa-Schöffel store still operated by a dealer is one in Leipzig.
