Sport-Fachhandel, the German trade publication, reports that Uvex Austria has appointed Alexander “Sandy” Grau to be the new sales and marketing director. The 40-year-old is the son of Werner Grau, the longtime chief executive of the eyewear and helmet manufacturer. He already served the company in the field of sports promotion, including sponsoring and motor sports. Grau succeeds Michael Kosch, who was sales director on an interim basis for about one year and who will now concentrate on servicing key accounts and retailers in eastern Austria.
