Sport Partner reports that Intersport Nederland has signed an agreement with the Dutch football federation to support women's football in the Netherlands, at least until the women's football World Cup in 2019. Although the “Leeuwinnen” (the Lionesses) wear Nike outfits, Intersport is the first partner of the women's team. The Netherlands will be hosting the women's European football championships in 2017, which Intersport regards as an opportunity to support the growth of women's football.
