SportItaly, the new Italian trade show being organized in Bolzano next Feb. 18-20, is apparently making good progress. In addition to Tecnica and the other companies that belong to Assosport, the recently revived Italian trade association, companies such as Amer Group, Campagnolo, Columbia Sportswear, Bailo, Brugi, Chiemsee, Fischer, Helly Hansen, Lafuma, Salewa and Sportalm have signed up for the show. Thanks in part to the involvement of well-known Italian industry veterans such as Gaetano Memmola and Erwin Stricker, these and other commitments are now filling 70 percent of the 5,300 square meters booked for the exhibition, well over the 2,000 sqm. announced last summer. The initiative is supported by all the buying groups and by Italian sales agents who were previously holding regional buying days.
