Sportringen Thomas Wallahager is leaving as chief executive of Sportringen after four years at the helm of this Swedish sports retailer, where brought up the number of stores from 50 to 220. Lars Palmgren, a former Intersport store manager who joined the company a few weeks ago, is taking over his place until further notice. Before leaving, Wallahage boosted Sportringen's staff, creating new category management positions. Palmgren was placed in charge of ice hockey and other team sports. Jonas Hellentin, a veteran of the outdoor industry who worked in the past for the Scandinavian Outdoor Group, will act as business area manager for outdoor, fishing and hunting. He had been handling events for Sportringen. The bike segment will be covered by Johnny Törnblom, who comes from a distributor, Duells.
