SportScheck, Germany's leading specialty sporting goods chain, is joining an charity initiative called Tag des Aufrundens (“Day of rounding Up”). The retailer and other participants in the campaign encourage their customers to round up the total of their purchases at the cashier by up to ten cents of a euro. On June 1, SportScheck will be supported by members of Culcha Candela, a group of multi-ethnic musicians, who will help out at the cashiers in Scheck's Berlin store. Tag des Aufrundens collects money for disadvantaged children in Germany. So far, purchases around the country have been rounded up 25 million times corresponding to an amount of €1.2 million.
