SportScheck has appointed a new member of the executive board, Lars Schöneweiss, who will take care of finance, controlling, IT, logistics and human resources from October. He will replace Guido Jaenisch, who is leaving the company at the end of this month. The 46-year-old manager has worked recently in similar functions at Windsor, a subsidiary of the Holy Fashion Group, and at Peter Hahn, a German fashion e-tailer. He previously ran a German fashion brand, Joop!, until 2009. Schöneweiss will join Markus Rech and Stefan Herzog on the management board of SportScheck. Rech, 42, is taking office on Sept. 14 as planned as chief executive, with responsibility for strategy, business development, sales, e-commerce, customer intelligence and marketing. Herzog will remain in charge of purchasing. Rech will be aided by a new chief digital officer, Jan Kegelberg, who has worked with SportScheck's parent company, the Otto Group, notably in Russia. The 44-year-old has also worked with the Boston Consulting Group and other companies.
