Spyder Active Sports has named Beverly Nestor, formerly with Adidas-Salomon Canada, as its new director of the global supply chain. In this new role she will lead all production planning, inventory management, scheduling and purchasing. The American company has also named Alan Leslie, who previously worked for Nike, Vans and American Sporting Goods, as director of global logistics and distribution. Spyder has enjoyed compound annual growth of 30 percent over the last five years. The company has recently begun expanding into multi-season apparel.

CORRECTION: Our international calendar of sporting goods shows erroneously gave a 4-day duration for the ISPO Russia show due to be held in Moscow in September. In fact it will run for only three days from Sept. 6 to Sept. 8. The fair previously lasted four days, but the first one was used by many exhibitors to set up their stands. The last day will remain open to “opinion leaders” from the public.
