Spyder has renewed and expanded its sponsorship of the U.S. Ski Team through the year 2023. The American sportswear company has been the team's exclusive supplier of official apparel since 1989. It will be designing and supplying men's and women's uniforms not only for the Alpine team, as before, but for the Freestyle and Freeski teams as well. The agreement also covers outerwear and baselayers, with non-exclusive rights for headwear, shells, pants, insulators, fleece, training gear, gloves and eyewear. The uniforms will appear for the World Cup circuit at more than 35 events domestically and 100 events abroad per year. These include the World Championships, which took place in February 2019, and the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. The members of the U.S. Ski Team include Steven Nyman, winner of the World Cup; Mikaela Shiffrin, winner of two Olympic gold medals; River Radamus, winner of a junior Olympic gold medal; Maggie Voisin, a gold medalist at the X Games; Ashley Caldwell, winner of the World Championship in freestyle; and Jaelin Kauf, a silver medalist at the World Championship. Spyder is based in Boulder, Colorado.
