Spyder has teamed up with Eastman Chemical to be the first brand to incorporate Eastman's Avra, a new, flat performance microfiber technology, into its performance baselayer and mid-layer products. Avra performance fibers are said to wick moisture and dry up to 50 percent faster than conventional polyester fibers. The U.S. Ski Team first tested fabrics made with Avra as a baselayer, worn inside their race suits, during the 2018 race season. Following extensive athlete testing, Spyder will now bring Avra to consumers through an exclusive collection that comprises next-to-skin tops and bottoms as well as mid-layers.
