Starting next year, Columbia Sportswear will be the new partner of the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) through three of its brands: Columbia, Mountain Hardwear and Montrail. Taking the place of The North Face after many years, it will outfit all the participants in the races with shoes and clothing. The group will also develop some specific products for the event, including some equipment and a limited-edition, premium running shoe. Created in 2003, the UTMB features four different races, starting in Chamonix, France and attracting more than 2,300 runners. The next edition of the UTMB will take place from Aug. 24 to Aug. 28.
