Starting on Jan. 1, Zoggs International will sell, market and ship its products directly to clients in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg, following the termination of a distribution contract with a triathlon specialist, Filser Sports & Marketing. The orders will be taken by Zoggs' existing network of agents. In an unusual arrangement, the water sports brand had hired a country manager for the territory, Mathias Angele, to work with Filser to expand the distribution. Angele recently left Zoggs to take care of sales for Schanner, the German distributor of a dozen ice hockey and skate firms including Bauer, Mission, Franklin, Hyperwheels and Kryptonics, which also handles some peripheral markets.
