Milan-based private equity investor Style Capital is buying Autry International, the owner of the Italian sneakers brand Autry, from Made in Italy Fund. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Style Capital will buy a 50.2 percent stake, while the Doro family, the brand’s founders, will retain a “significant” stake. Made in Italy Fund, a themed fund focusing on SMEs operating in segments representing Italian excellence, will reinvest in Autry an 8 percent share through its Made in Italy Fund II vehicle. Made in Italy Fund is supported and managed by the Italian asset management group Quadrivio and the fashion consultancy Pambianco.
Style Capital has concurrently announced a retail expansion plan that will involve the opening of more than 20 Autry brand stores in luxury shopping destinations in Italy and abroad.
