Sundek, a brand of colorful boardshorts that is highly popular in Italy, has launched a higher-end line co-branded with Neil Barrett, the British fashion designer born in California. It will be sold by 200 selected retailers around the world. The line was presented at the Pitti Uomo fashion fair a few days ago along with the first Sundek line of urbanwear. Kickoff, the Italian company that licenses the Californian Sundek brand, wants to expand its international distribution under the management of Andrea Paoluzzi, former global sales manager of Armani Jeans, appointed to the top post one year ago. Italy still accounts for 85 percent of the revenues generated by Sundek (more on this brand in our market research report on the Italian sporting goods market).
