Technogym has launched an updated version of its Mywellness Cloud internet platform that is compliant with the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The Italian fitness equipment maker's optimized cloud-based platform now enables wellness facilities, hospitals and insurance companies to securely monitor, share and track encrypted patient information. Hospitals can use the improved Mywellness Cloud to share patient data and enhance medical care while corporate wellness programs and insurance providers can use the platform to synchronize with individual health plans. Universities can also track health data for scientific research via Mywellness Cloud.
