eBay Inc. celebrated its 30th anniversary today with a series of events in New York City, including a bell-ringing ceremony at the Nasdaq MarketSite and the launch of a pop-up retail experience, the ’95 Shop.
The San Jose-based e-commerce company was founded in 1995 and has since grown into one of the world’s largest marketplaces. “eBay’s 30th anniversary is an important milestone we share with our global community,” said CEO Jamie Iannone. “Looking ahead, we’ll continue to leverage innovation and AI to build a stronger marketplace.”
