The American unit of Slinger Bag, the company that is launching a new, innovative, portable tennis ball launcher (SGI Europe Vol. 30 N° 13+14 of Apr. 13, 2019), has become a public company trading on the over-the-counter market in the U.S. as SLBG. This was made possible through a $332,239 reverse merger with another former public company involved in travel consulting, Lazex. The company is also responsible for the Canadian market since last month. Run by Mike Ballardie, the former chief executive of Prince, the start-up is being supported by a crowdfunding campaign that will reward investors with Slinger packages in January. A global network of tennis distributors is being established in time for a planned launch of the brand in March. Slinger Bag comes originally from Israel and Lazex from the Czech Republic.
